Ronnie Bond is a veteran water transformer in every sense of the word. After serving in the Marine Corps, Ronnie joined AlexRenew and has been a steward of the region’s waterways for more than 25 years.   

AlexRenew’s Sustainability Coordinator Grace Richardson is passionate about protecting the environment, and for her, wastewater treatment is one of the most important ways to do so. Now she is helping to make an already green industry even more sustainable. 

AlexRenew is pleased to announce that six of our maintenance team members successfully completed the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) exam. Every member of AlexRenew’s maintenance team is now certified.  

Here in Alexandria, we’re lucky to have the Potomac River — also known as “the nation’s river” — right in our own backyard. The 405-mile-long river is filled with both history and areas for recreational use. When on the river or out and about in the watershed, visitors can enjoy everything from walking paths to picnics to paddle boarding. We have a list of several activities along the river you don’t want to miss. 

Six of AlexRenew’s Production Team members recently earned or upgraded their Wastewater Works Operator’s licenses. These six operators talk about what it takes and how it felt to pass the exam.
