LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND
Celebrated on November 19th every year, World Toilet Day is about inspiring action to tackle the global sanitation crisis and help achieve proper sanitation for everyone around the world by 2030. Established in 2001 by the World Toilet Organization, World Toilet Day was made an official United Nations day in 2013.
A toilet is not just a toilet. It’s a life-saver, dignity-protector, and opportunity-maker. And yet, today, 4.2 billion people live without safely managed sanitation. No one can lift themselves out of poverty without sanitation, so we must expand access to safe toilets across the globe, and leave no one behind.
