Each year, the Alexandria Sanitation Authority welcomes dozens of tour groups to visit its wastewater treatment facility.

All tours of the facility require management approval. Requests for tours must include detailed information that includes the purpose of the tour and tour group affiliations. In addition, tour groups must meet the following conditions.

• All members of the tour group must be 16 years or older.
• All members of the tour group must be capable of a significant amount of walking that includes stairs while in an industrial location.
• All members of the group must adhere to ASA safety requirements and rules of conduct at all times.
• The group must agree that approved tours may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of ASA.
