Celebrate Infrastructure Week with a Tour of AlexRenew
See How Our Team Makes Used Water Useful!
AlexRenew will host a special facility tour in honor of Infrastructure Week on Thursday, May 16, starting at 2:30pm. The tour is open to the public and will offer visitors a chance to learn more about the process our team of water transformers uses to clean our community's used water and return it to the Potomac River. We have room for 30 people, so sign up right away to ensure your spot! We will begin the tour in our lobby at the AlexRenew Environmental Center, 1800 Limerick Street, and it will run from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. (Your arrival time to our Environmental Center lobby should be 2:15 pm.) We will have a RiverRenew outreach team member on hand to answer questions about our plan to construct a deep underground tunnel system to prevent sewage mixed with rainwater from entering our waterways in Alexandria. Ours are temporarily ending June 30 due to some on-campus construction projects, so this is a great opportunity to come and visit us before then.
